They weren't treated equally, and they were sometimes treated very badly. During that time, some Black people were used for medical experiments without their permission. This created a lot of fear and mistrust toward the medical system.

Even though things have gotten better since then, that fear and mistrust can still linger. It's okay to feel worried or confused about this. It's a big topic, and it can be hard to understand why some people might feel differently about vaccines. But it's important to try to understand where they're coming from. But here's the good news: scientists and doctors are working really hard to make sure vaccines are safe for everyone. They're listening to people's concerns and trying to earn their trust. Remember, it's important to be kind and respectful to everyone, even if they have different opinions or experiences. By understanding each other better, we can work together to make our world a healthier and safer place for everyone.
